Dinner and hotel Day 5 Fez – Merzouga (470 km) Zbartravel pick you up at your hotel in Fez after breakfast, 8.30 am, and go south. When coming to the cedar forests of Azrou, where the wild monkeys are located, we take a short stop for seeing the wilderness in Morocco. Then continue along the Middle Atlas passing green valleys and scenic mountains. Lunch break in the Berber village Zaida. On the way we will stop at the cedar forests to see the Barbarian Apes in their natural habitat. Travelling through the Tizi Ntalghamt pass to Midelt and along the magnificent Ziz Gorges carved through volcanic rock, you’ll see views of the Middle-Atlas plateau and the scenery changing to reveal hints of the desert as you approach the city of Errachidia. After lunch we’ll continue our journey through the Ziz Valley to Erfoud, Rissani and Merzouga. After a glass of mint tea, we’ll leave our luggage in a safe room then take a camel ride to a Berber camp in the middle of the Erg Chebbi Sad Dunes which are the highest sand dunes in North Africa. The camel trek takes about 1hr 30 min from to the camp where we will set up Berber tents for our night in the desert. The tents are well equipped with mattresses, blankets, and cushions. After dinner we will gather around the fire and enjoy the sound of traditional Berber drums under the stars. Day 6 : Merzouga – Rissani – Erfoud – Tinghir – Todra Gorges – Dades – Ouarzazate: We will wake up early to enjoy a magnificent sunrise on the dunes then take a camel ride back to the hotel. After freshening up and breakfast then we start our journey to Ouarzazate ,on the way; we will visit the Berber villages containing, todra gorges..then we drive to ouarzazate trough dades, roses valley skoura..we will arrive to ouarzazate in evening. Day 7 : Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou – Tizi -n- Tichka – Marrakech: After breakfast, the entire day is devoted to the visit of Ouarzazate: the Kasbah of Taourirt, Tifoultout and the cinema studio. 5 days Marrakesh to casablanca atlantic coast tours

Day 1 Marrakech After breakfast til morning we pick you up for a 2h guided tour at some high lights in Marrakech, among this the Bahia Palace and Majorelle Gardens. The rest of the day is for free disposal - just walkaround in this colorful city. Maybe visit the new area Gueliz, take a horse taxi around. Day 2 Marrakech to Essaouira We meet at 9.00 am and go west towards the Atlantic Ocean and Essaouira. The trip goes through agricultural areas with olive trees and villages. And not at least this area is the main area for the famous Argan. The Argan oil is growing just in Morocco, and are beeing used both for foot, health and beauty. Essaouira is a tourist friendly, charming, colorful an relatively quiet town, and is known to be a "cool" and artistic place. And many artists have found peace and inspiration here. The city is on the list of UNESCOS’s World Heritage The small medina is well worth a visit – and here you will find a lot of good craft. And very good fish restaurant at the seaside. We let you explore Essaouira on you own, and will of course assist for what to do and where to eat. Day 3 Essaouira This day is yours – and Essaouira is a nice place just to relax and explore - the city and the seaside. And maybe take a swim in the ocean, activities as Horse riding, Quad - or Camel trekking at the beach etc Day 4 Essaouira to Oualidia We meet you in the morning for a very nice travel along the Atlantic Coast. This a day to feel the ocean view and the green surroundings of this area. We will on the way pass Safi, the main seat for pottery in Morocco. Early afternoon we will arrive the fisher city of Oualidia. Here you can use the evening enjoying the coast life for the last time on this trip. Day 5 Oualidia to Casablanca We continue the trip along the coast via El Jadida before arriving Casablanca in the afternoon. We take you directly to hotel. This last evening there is possiblity to use the time at Ain Diab, famous for good restaurant, coffees – and not at least the seafront and the Atlantic Coast. We take you back to your hotel. Day 2: Essaouira – Agadir You will leave the ancient city of Essaouira and travel to Aglou Beach to relax. The camel trek takes about 1hr 30 min from to the camp where we will set up Berber tents for our night in the desert. The tents are well equipped with mattresses, blankets, and cushions. And maybe take a swim in the ocean, activities as Horse riding, Quad - or Camel trekking at the beach etc Day 4 Essaouira to Oualidia We meet you in the morning for a very nice travel along the Atlantic Coast. This a day to feel the ocean view and the green surroundings of this area. We will on the way pass Safi, the main seat for pottery in Morocco. Early afternoon we will arrive the fisher city of Oualidia. Here you can use the evening enjoying the coast life for the last time on this trip. On the way we will stop at the cedar forests to see the Barbarian Apes in their natural habitat. Travelling through the Tizi Ntalghamt pass to Midelt and along the magnificent Ziz Gorges carved through volcanic rock, you’ll see views of the Middle-Atlas plateau and the scenery changing to reveal hints of the desert as you approach the city of Errachidia. After lunch we’ll continue our journey through the Ziz Valley to Erfoud, Rissani and Merzouga. After a glass of mint tea, we’ll leave our luggage in a safe room then take a camel ride to a Berber camp in the middle of the Erg Chebbi Sad Dunes which are the highest sand dunes in North Africa. The camel trek takes about 1hr 30 min from to the camp where we will set up Berber tents for our night in the desert. The tents are well equipped with mattresses, blankets, and cushions. After dinner we will gather around the fire and enjoy the sound of traditional Berber drums under the stars. Essaouira knew many civilisations – including the Portuguese occupation, which affects much of its architecture – however, it remains a small village with much history. On our arrival to Ait Ben Haddou village we will go for a walk to visit this ancient village. It is also listed in UNISCO as a site of world and national culture in 1987. Then we head to the great Telouet Kasbah strong hold fort, built by the lord of the atlas Thami Pasha and was trading center of caravans. Day 7 : Marrakech For the city tour of Marrakech you are going with the local guide. We continue north towards Rabat, and we will partly follow the road close to the coastline. In the afternoon we continue the last leg to “The blue city” Chefchaouen Day 6 Chefchaouen After breakfast it is time to explore the city. Chefchaouen is a beautiful town with its own distinct style, with well-maintained houses all in white with usually blue doors, and the houses are climbing the mountainside. Walking around in Chefchouen you could visit the Medina – a fascinating and concentrated charming area. And also the Kasbah - a heavily restored walled fortress with a lovely garden with a small Ethnographic Museum, and an even smaller Chefchaouen, including the plaza and the Kasbah, and the gallery promotes the work of local artists. Day 7 Chefchaouen to Fes After breakfast we pick you up at your hotel and go south passing the Rif Mountains – via Ouezzane and to Fes and arrive approx lunchtime. In the afternoon you will have a guided tour before we let you for yourself to explore this ancient city of Morocco Day 8 Fes to Cascade d'Ozoud We start from Fes after breakfast. We go south along the Middle Atlas through areas with mountains , green forest, Berber villages and valley with rich olive cultivation. We are passing the city of Kenifra and Beni Mellal – and continue the through small mountains to the fantastic seven waterfalls Cascade d’Ozoud. Here you can enjoy the sight of the great waterfalls in this very small village. Day 9 Cascade d'Ozoud to Marrakech After we take the last leg to Marrakech at lunchtime. After some days driving we suppose it can be good just to relax - maybe Hammam/SPA or take the sun at the roof of the riad. When the evevning come it is time to take you to the Square, Jemaa el Fna, where you can spend the evening in this colorful market place – among snake charmers, «oracles», musicians and not to forget the food stalls. A short visit of the Imperial City of Meknes, the one-time capital of Moulay Ismaël, founded in the 9th century by Zenata Berbers, including the old ramparts, the Agoudal Basin: the Moulay Ismaël royal stables and one of the most beautiful gates in Morocco – the Bab el Mansour – and the Moulay Ismaël Mausoleum, one of the very few holy sites in Morocco which may be visited by non-Muslims, then on to the Imperial City of Fez for our dinner and overnight stay. BLD Day 3. FEZ. Fez-place A full day to explore this magnificent city, one of the best living examples of a medieval Arab city and the religious capital of the Kingdom of Morocco. We take in the Karaouine mosque and Medersas whilst also experiencing the hustle and bustle of everyday life in the labyrinth of souks and tanneries. The tour includes photo stops at the imposing gate of Bab Boujloud, the ancient ramparts, the splendid fountain at Place Nejjarine and the beautiful front entrance to the Royal Palace. A light lunch is served in a local restaurant. We return to our hotel for dinner and overnight stay at the end of the afternoon. Doubtless, some shopping will be in mind! BLD Day 4. We stop for lunch at the incredible Ziz Gorges, then to take Landrovers for our journey down through the many oases in an ocean of sand to arrive at our final destination of the awesome dunes of Erg Chebbi. From here the Sahara stretches as far as the eye can see. We witness a stupendous sunset to return and spend the night in a local Auberge. BLD Day 5. ERFOUD / TODRA GORGES / OUARZAZATE. ouarza-place We’ll rise before dawn today to experience a breathtaking sunrise over the Saharan dunes from the back of a camel, back for breakfast before taking the road to the Todra Gorges. Lunch is taken in the shade of these towering cliffs before setting off on the road of a Thousand Kasbahs for Ouarzazate. In the afternoon visit of the town, including the 17th century Kasbah Taourirt and Kasbah Tifoutoute, both of which were once the homes of the powerful Pasha Glaoui. OUARZAZATE / MARRAKECH / OUIRGANE. ouirgane Setting out early in the morning towards the north up through the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka and Marrakech to Ouirgane, we get our first real sight of the mighty Jbel Toubkal (4167m) and sister peaks as we arrive at our hotel tucked away in a beautiful valley for a bit of peace and quiet. Ouirgane has been called ‘The oasis in the High Atlas’. BLD Day 7. OUIRGANE / TREK / TIZZIANE. tiziane A late breakfast and it’s time to meet up with our mountain guide and mules to begin our trek of about 5 hours passing through the village of Touroud and from where we strike out along a piste to the National Park of Tassa Ouirgane. At the village of Tassa Ouir (meaning the Centre of Flowers)we hike between red pine and junipers to picnic amidst walnut trees near the forest in the Azerzeane Valley to continue down through the hamlet of Ikoubline and overnight in a Berber Gîte d’étape at the pretty village of Tizziane. (1600m). BLD Day 8. TREK TO AAZIB ASSOUÂL. AAZIB-ASSOUÂL Leaving Tizziane via the Tizi n’Touati (2100M) we ascend for 3 hours to reach the Assaka Plateau, passing stands of holm oaks, red pine and junipers to continue down to the Valley of the Assif D’Knt and a night under canvas near Tizgui at the Âazib Assouâl. BLD Day 9. TREK TO TIZI OUSSEM. tizi-oussem Ascent from Tizgui towards Tizi n’Taghoudalalte at 2700m with its impressive panoramic views. Descent through almost an almost alpine atmosphere with fields of poppies, wildflowers and ancient terraced irrigated fields along the Valley of the n’Aït Ouissa’dane to the last hamlet in this Valley-Tizi Oussem and our overnight bivouac surrounded by the Jbels Tasghimout (2004m), Aguelzim (3547m) and Tazaghârt (3843m). BLD Day10. TREK TO TAZAGHÂRT REFUGE. tazaghart Leaving Tizi Oussem we continue our climb to the end of the Aït Ouissa’dane Valley and then take lunch on a ridge at the Cascades d’Irhoulidene (2300m) with a close-up view of the mighty Jbel Toubkal and her sister peaks, to reach our mountain Refuge home for the night in the early afternoon. BLD Day 11. TREK TO THE TOUBKAL REFUGE. toubkal-refuge Today we cross the remote Tizi n’Taddate (3700m) along off-the-beaten goat trails up through the steep and rocky pass to the Jbel Bignouissen (4009m) where we picnic amidst some quite magnificent views. Our next challenge awaits us but first we descend to our overnight accommodation in the Toubkal refuge which, at 3207m, marks the spring snowline. BLD Day 12. TREK SUMMIT OF MOUNT TOUBKAL. Toubkal-mount An early start today for Toubkal. The summit is neither technical nor demanding but the views are particularly spectacular. When ready, we shall descend via the South Circuit for a straightforward ramble back to the Refuge. In the afternoon we have a gentle hike south-eastwards to the head of the Assif n’Aït Mizane Valley and the Tizi n’Ounoums (3664m) with a view of the distant Lake Ifni to return to our Refuge for the night.BLD Day 13. TOUBKAL SUMMIT / IMLIL / MARRAKECH. imlil An easy walk down the slopes of the Valley of the Assif n’Isouhouanem n’Ouagounss passing through Sidi Chamharouch to picnic by a waterfall then down through granite and basalt rocks to the village of Aroumd, built on a spur of moraine to arrive at Morocco’s ‘Little Chamonix’ – the trailhead village of Imlil for a quick cuppa before joining our transport to Marrakech for our overnight and dinner in our hotel. BLD Day 14. MARRAKECH. Jamaa-place A full day in Marrakech with a tour of the historical sites in the morning and the afternoon in the Souks around the Djmâa El Fna Square, with its myriad of street performers. Dinner is in a Moroccan restaurant with folklore and then overnight in our Marrakech hotel. BLD Day 15. MARRAKECH. souk-ma A day at leisure, or last minute shopping or the opportunity to make optional excursions. BLD Day 16. MARRAKECH / CASABLANCA / HOME. casa-airport Departure transfer for Casablanca in accordance with your flight scheduled for your return flight home. B
 
 
 

Fes To Marrakech via Erg Chebbi Desert Tour 3 Days & 2 Nights

Day 1: Fez / Merzougua (camel ride and overnight in the desert) We will meet you at your Fez riad or hotel, depart and transport (8 hours) over the Middle Atlas mountains through the cedar forests of Ifrane, Midelt and the Ziz gorges towards Sahara, until the Erg Chebbi dunes appear on the horizon. Our destination is the auberge (small inn) 29km from Merzouga, where you meet your camel guide and ride into the dunes at sunset to the bivouac (camp). Upon arrival you will have a traditional tagine dinner prepared under the evening stars. Climb the dunes and watch the moon rise before retiring to your bed in the nomad wool tent Day 2: Merzougua / Todra gorges Return by camel at sunrise to the auberge for breakfast and shower before going to Tinehir. Along the way we can visit a fossil workshop for a closer look at Sahara’s wonderful varieties of ancient life. We'll walk through Todra Gorge, where sheer limestone walls rise to 300 m in its narrowest part. After lunch you can wander with a guide through palmeries, villages, gardens, and kasbahs for a close look at traditional Berber ways of life. Evening visit the market in Tinehir and old kasbah quarter. Stay in an old kasbah with evening Moroccan dinner by the pool. Day 3: Todra gorges /Marrakech This morning we'll drive through the Valley of Roses, famous for the Persian rose oil, and the Skoura oasis before stopping for lunch at Ouarzazate. Next we’ll explore the World Heritage Site of Ait Benhaddou. This village of clustered Berber Kasbahs has been used as a backdrop for more than 20 films and was one of the most important fortress strongholds on the old Salt Road where caravans brought slaves, gold, ivory and salt from Saharan Africa to Marrakech and beyond. Descending the High Atlas mountains Tizi nTichka pass to Marrakech, we will have time to stop and enjoy impressive landscapes, and coffee and fresh-squeezed orange juice breaks. Arrival in Marrakech at approximately 7 p.m. You will need to book a hotel in Marrakech this night or we can book a medina riad including breakfast.

Day 2 Merzouga / Todra gorges Bivouac trekkers return by camel at sunrise to the auberge for breakfast and shower before going to Tinehir. Along the way you can visit a fossil workshop for a closer look at Sahara’s wonderful varieties of ancient life. We'll walk through Todra Gorge where limestone walls rise to over 300 m in the narrowest gorge and after lunch, visit the women’s market in Tinihir and old kasbah quarter. We stay in traditional old kasbah with evening Moroccan dinner by the pool. Day 3 Todra gorges / Dades gorges After breakfast you can wander with a local guide through palmery villages, gardens, and kasbahs for a close look at traditional Berber ways of life. Our next destination is Dades valley (2 hours) of a thousand Kasbahs. You will pass through many Berber villages, and green riverside oasis and barren red hillsides clustered with kasbahs (fortified dwellings that house many families and their livestock). Stop to visit and walk among the monkey fingers. Stay in Dades valley auberge (small country inn) with Moroccan menu on the terrace, overlooking the valley gorge and gardens. Day 4 Dades gorges / ait ben hadou / Marrakech After breakfast we’ll off-road to Ouarzazate, through the Valley of Roses, famous for the Persian rose oil. Visit the World Heritage Site, Ait Benhaddou. This historic cluster of old kasbahs was the stronghold stop for caravans crossing the High Atlas to pay taxes for protection from thieves after their gold, slaves, salt and ivory. Descending the High Atlas mountains Tizi nTichka pass to Marrakech, we will have time to stop and enjoy the impressive landscapes, and coffee and fresh-squeezed orange juice breaks. Arrival in Marrakech approximately 6 p.m. You will need to book a hotel in Marrakech this night or we can book a medina riad including breakfast.

Day 2: Merzougua Bivouac trekkers return by camel at sunrise to the auberge for breakfast and shower. You can chill out in the dunes or the auberge, or take your car and driver for an off road tour around the Erg Chebbi. We'll stop to visit Nomad families for tea if they are in the region, and you can explore as much as you wish. The village of Hamlia is on your route, and is famous for Gnaoua music. Stay in desert auberge with swimming pool. Includes breakfast and dinner. Day 3: Merzougua / Saghrou montain / Todra gorges We'll drive off road today, traveling through the Saghro mountains. Tinehir. Along the way we pass through folded exposed rock slabs of fossils and we can stop and visit a fossil workshop for a closer look at Sahara’s wonderful varieties of ancient life. Before Tinehir,we'll have a visit to Todra Gorge, where sheer limestone walls rise to 300 m in its narrowest part. After lunch you can wander with a guide through palmeries, villages, gardens, and kasbahs for a close look at traditional Berber ways of life. Visit the market in Tinehir and old kasbah quarter. We will stay in an old kasbah, with evening Moroccan dinner by the pool. Day 4: Todra gorges / Dades gorges Our next destination is Dades valley of a thousand Kasbahs. Stay in upper Dades valley auberge, with dinner on the terrace, overlooking the valley gorge and gardens. Day 5: Dades gorgres / Ouarzazat/ ait ben hadou / telouat / Marrakech Our next destination is a drive off road (weather permitting) across the mountains to explore in the Valley of the Rose, famous for Persian roses and the remote village of Boutaghrah for lunch. We’ll explore the environs before continuing on to Ait Benhaddou. We will explore Ait Benhaddou.
